Mediterranean oceanic data base


Description :


   This dual CD-ROM package contains a one year set of surface parameters from different data sources over the Mediterranean sea.
   These parameters, generated by different processing centers are derived from space measurements or meteorological and sea state models. The database includes among others sea surface : température (NOAA/AVHRR) and height (TOPEX/POSEIDON and ERS-1), surface wind (ERS-1), solar irradiance (METEOSAT), meteorological (surface, temperature, moisture, pressure, wind and flux) and sea state (wave and swell height, direction and period) from ARPEGE and WAM models provided by METEO-FRANCE.
   This product is delivered with a data extraction interface and has browse capabilities. It is available now for all scientific users.
