Weather forecasting
cloudy weather with likely showers for today. Tomorrow, a new situation with low pressure and precipitations over the whole region.
On Monday 16/05, cloudy sky in the morning and convective activity in the afternoon. On Tuesday, a talweg is expected over Spain with regular precipitations affecting the whole area. On Wednesday, higher pressure conditions : cloudy in the morning and clear sky conditions expected in the afternoon. On Thursday, a better anticyclonic situation with drier conditions in the lower layers.
Instrumentation
surface flux stations : see yesterday report
wind profilers : see yesterday report. The RASS sodar has been operated last night.
Radiosondes :
First test of RS at La Cape Sud has been assimilated in the 3D var Aladin mesoscale model.
CO2 concentration measurements : see yesterday report
aircrafts operations :
arrival of the SkyArrow team in Saucats. This week end, the sky arrow will fly out in reconnaissance over the experimental sites.
