Weather forecasting
Tomorrow: Anti-cyclonic conditions, with cumulus (3/8) in the afternoon.
Winds are weak: NE in the west of the Les Landes area and N/NW in the
eastern part of the domain
Wednesday: NE flow, anticyclonic conditions. Fair weather with a possible
development of a sea breeze at the coast.
Thursday: SW flow, with possible high clouds (alto-cumulus, cirrus) in the
afternoon
Friday: unstable, very perturbed and many clouds
Instrumentation
Only 3 Piper Aztec flights are possible before maintenance. Maintenance is
on Friday
DIMONA operations postponed for at least one week.
Drifting balloons launches are not possible before Monday 6 June.
Status of the experiment:
Alert D-1 : IOP n°3 starting on Tuesday, continuing on Wednesday and
possibly Thursday

Radiosondes: at 17:00 UTC at La Cape Sud
Measurements on Tuesday
Radiosondes : in La Cape Sud at 5, 11, 17, 23 UTC
in Toulouse at 11:00 UTC
Piper Aztec : no flights
Sky Arrow (IBIMET) : 2 or 3 flux flights
Sky Arrow (ISAFOM) : 1 flight at 12:00 LT.

Radiosondes : in La Cape Sud at 5, 8, 11, 14, 17 UTC
in Toulouse at 11 UTC
Piper Aztec : 2 Les Landes flights, 7:00 UTC take off in Toulouse and
12:30 UTC take off at Saucats
Sky Arrow (IBIMET) : 4 flux flights +profiles
Sky Arrow (ISAFOM) : 1 flight
Next briefing :
Tomorrow Tuesday 31 May at 10H45 local time at Bordeaux (INRA) and
Toulouse (CNRM). This afternoon PI will contact forecaster to confirm the
forecast of tomorrow.
