Weather forecasting :
The weather conditions are confirmed for tomorrow and Monday. Maritime entrances are expected tomorrow. On Monday, the sea breeze is reinforced by a westerly flow (10 knots), and possible low level clouds in the morning (maritime entrance).
Status of the experiment :

Beginning of IOP6 continuing on Sunday and Monday.
Measurements on Sunday:
Radiosondes : in La Cape Sud: 5,11,17 UTC (one more RS at 23UTC if the Piper aircraft would fly on Monday)
No Piper Aztec
Sky Arrow-IBIMET: 2 flux flights, depending on weather conditions
Sky Arrow-ISAFOM: to be confirmed.

Measurements on Monday:
Radiosondes : in La Cape Sud
Piper Aztec: 2 possible lagrangian shorter flights (intercomparison with Sky Arrow from IBIMET in Marmande?)
Sky Arrow-IBIMET: to be defined
Sky Arrow-ISAFOM: to be confirmed.

Report on this morning briefing

Weather forecasting :
Tomorrow, anticyclonic conditions, very sunny, E winds with 5kts at lower levels over Les Landes and breeze development from the coast to 20-30 km inland. Maximum temperature between 36-37°C in Les Landes.
On Sunday, W-SW winds at 10kts between 0 and 500m in the morning and weaker in the afternoon (5 knots) and the flow is from E-NE in altitude (above 1000m). Risk of Maritime entrance in the morning. Temperatures around 32°C.
On Monday, West winds (10 knots at 500m) but possible maritime entrance with Alto Cumulus persisting during the day (5-6 octases). Maxima temperature of 25°C near the coast and between 28-30°C in Les Landes.
On Tuesday, warm air in altitude with instability at mid-levels. There is no flow in the lower layers and a SW flow above 1500m. Again, important cloud cover (altocumulus) with 5-6 octases. Maxima temperature between 25-26° C.
On Wednesday, the forecast is still uncertain but a very weak flow from West is expected (10 knots at 1000m) with clouds and temperatures up to 24-27°C.

Piper Aztec: 2 flight Landes 270° at 8:00 and 16 :00LT (2 legs in the sea-breeze)

No Piper Aztec
