Report on this morning briefing

Weather forecasting :
Today : maritime entrance brings clouds all over South-West of France. Stratus but mainly AltoCumulus (from 6 to 8 octases) all day long. The wind is very weak from West at lower levels (5 knots)and from East above 500m.

On Tuesday, more high level clouds and stratocumulus are expected with possible showers in the evening. The wind is weak from W-NW (less than 5 kt). Temperature : 27°C.
On Wednesday, the sky is less cloudy (2-3 octases) especially on the shoreline. The wind comes from East at the surface and is weak (5 to 10 knots). Temperature : 20°C in the morning and 33°C in the afternoon.

Status of the experiment :
IOP6 D3 continuing till Wednesday


Measurements on Monday:
Radiosondes : 5, 8, 11, 17 UTC
Piper Aztec: canceled due to unfavorable weather !!!
Sky Arrow-IBIMET: morning flight delayed, 2 flights in the afternoon, 1 flight in the evening (20:00 LT) depending on weather conditions

Measurements on Tuesday:
Radiosondes : 5, 11, 17 UTC, (23 UTC ?)
Piper Aztec: no flight
Sky Arrow-IBIMET: 2 or 3 flights depending on weather conditions

Measurements on Wednesday:
Radiosondes : 5, 8, 11, 14, 17 UTC to be confirmed
Piper Aztec: 2 Landes flights (shorter)
Sky Arrow-IBIMET: flux divergence - to be defined (with intercomparison with the Piper Aztec)
Sky Arrow- ISAFoM : remote sensing flights (to be confirmed)

Next briefing tomorrow, 10H45 local time in Toulouse (CNRM) and Bordeaux (INRA).
