Domain and resolution

2 nested models :
  • First domain : 240km - 240km, Resolution 8km
  • Second domain : 60km - 60km, Resolution 2m
Center of both domains : La Cape Sud

All the results are presented on the first domain, but take into account  the second model on the second domain. The vertical profiles of La Cape Sud are provided by the second model.

Topography of the first domain : 240km -240km, Resolution 8km

Considering the D day ,

    Beginning of the simulation : D+1, 3hTU
    End of the simulation : D+1, 18hTU
Initial fields and LBC : ALADIN forecast, from the D day, 00h cycle

Meso-NH forecasted fields (for D+1) are available daily at 8h30TU.

The mixing heights are determined with the simple parcel parcel method, from the potential temperature profile, considering an excess temperature of 0.5 K.
