The FTP server dedicated to CarboRegional data collection and retrieving is now ready.

Each measurement-providing team has its own directory, which are grouped by measurement types, defining a simple tree.

    This tree is implemented twice:

    • Once for the file deposit (on a place where files can be uploaded or deleted, but not downloaded)
    • Once for retrieving (on a place where files can be read or downloaded, but not modified nor deleted)

Access to each tree is protected by a password.

    The normal deposit procedure is:

The files will then be transferred to download server.

    Data transfer method:

    1. With an internet browser/navigator/explorer:
      The URL is:
      ftp://carbodep:[email protected]/
Then, you need to choose the appropriate directory, and the file upload command (Typically, "File"/"Upload file")

    2. with a FTP client program:
      The server name is: medias.obs-mip.fr
      The user name is: carbodep
      The password is:
Then choose the directory corresponding to the sensor and the team.

    3. with the specific upload form for 2005 campain or upload form for 2007 campains

    Tree definition:

The server has been set-up with a first list of measurement type and data providing team, with the name of a contact (see the list below). There are probably remaining errors or omissions. Please notify me of any correction you may wish.
